Every Day We Fight: Gameplay First Look
The reveal you’ve been waiting for is here. Every Day We Fight Creative Director Avi Winkler offers up an early taste of what you can expect to see in our upcoming turn-based tactics game, which took home the top prize at the 2022 Big Indie Pitch, Console & PC.
Deep tactical strategy is the name of the game here—and Every Day We Fight takes things to another level. It’s not just about making a plan and watching it play out. Every choice you make will determine whether or not you’re successful in overcoming the challenges the game throws at you. This unique mix of real-time and rogue-lite action will challenge all skill levels.
As you navigate through gameplay, line of sight and physical ballistics are going to be critical. In the video, you get to see constant player agency in action. When firing your weapon, the camera shifts to a third-person shooter view, offering you full control over every shot.
And when you find yourself in the line of fire, you’re far from just a sitting duck. Players can react and reposition while being shot, attempting to scatter out of the shooter’s line of sight.
The gameplay video also shows off some of Every Day We Fight’s real-time exploration, as Avi heads into a building and puts a plan into action. Within this detailed environment, he moves into a flanking angle, drawing the enemy out and into the line of fire of an awaiting ally.
This blending of action and tactics doesn’t just make the game more fun—it leads to more creative choices. This is just a taste of what’s to come, and for those in the Montreal area, you can sign up today for an in-studio EDWF playtest or continue to stay tuned to our website and Signal Space Lab social media channels for all the latest updates.
